Busch Gives Surprising Take on New Format

NASCAR had an opportunity to address the championship format in a meaningful way. Instead, the final decision landed somewhere in the middle. Rather than returning fully to a season-long championship, as many fans had hoped, the sport chose a compromise approach.

Given how unpredictable the playoffs had become in recent years, some fans still welcomed familiar elements — including the return of the term “Chase.”

And just as discussion around the format appeared to be settling down, Kyle Busch offered a new perspective on the changes, reopening the conversation once again.

This might even make you scratch your head. And what's worse is that Busch used Jimmie Johnson's name to make a point.
