So there we were... as the Kansas pit road suddenly turned into a backyard brawl. Ross Chastain, thinking he was just “crowding” Gragson off Turn 4, launched a haymaker that would’ve made a heavyweight champ blush.

Gragson, on the other hand, tried a desperate push‑back, but Ross’s right hand found its target faster than a pit stop crew on a fuel stop.

Eventually, security swooped in, the crowd gasped, and the whole track heard the echo of “I got tight off 4.”

Well, the reason we're talking about this now is: after two long years, we finally got a very strange confession from Ross. For why he did what he did.
