Dale Jr’s Last Dance Didn’t Go as Planned
👋 Dear Motorheads,
Welcome back to the Lucky Dog on Track newsletter, your one-stop-shop containing behind-the-scenes scoops, race day analysis, exclusive interviews, and untold historical tales!
The way we see it, this past race weekend at Bristol was a special one, and that too for a couple of reasons. We first had Dale Jr switching his owner's chair, with a driver's seat of the #88. While many were unsure if this was the 49-year-old's Last Dance, he made sure to drop the right bomb during his post-race interview, which now has fans in shambles.
Secondly, we saw 2024's first playoff elimination with 4 drivers bidding adieu to their title dreams. While these happen to be two of the biggest stories from the race weekend, the Lucky Dog has got a lot more drama to unpack.
⚠️ IN THE DANGER ZONE
With Brad Keselowski, Martin Truex Jr, Ty Gibbs, and Harrison Burton out of the playoff run, here is what the bubble now looks like for the ‘Round of 12’.
