👋 Hey, Motorhead!

Yesterday, we tried sending you to a Kyle Busch story and instead sent you on a mystery adventure of Logano's new makeover. Consider it an accidental detour, and in case you're still curious about Rowdy's 2026 plan, you can read all about it here.

Although the antitrust case is scheduled for a Monday hearing, Denny Hamlin became vocal on social media. And as always, it was ugly as the JGR veteran called out NASCAR and a legacy media company for spreading a false narrative.

Talladega Drivers' Boycott 1969

MJ and Denny Hamlin going up against NASCAR isn’t the first instance of the France family facing a rebellion. The origins of this can be traced back to 1969, at the inaugural race at Talladega Superspeedway. Richard Petty led the Drivers’ Union, known as the PDA, and asked NASCAR to postpone the race due to safety concerns. But Bill France Sr. refused, prompting all 36 PDA drivers to boycott. NASCAR responded by filling the grid with lower-division drivers and proceeded with the historic inaugural Talladega race anyway.
