👋 Hey, Motorhead!

Being a NASCAR fan is like walking a two-way street. You cheer for your favorite driver but never miss a chance to call out the rivals. That back-and-forth is what makes NASCAR so thrilling, and Denny Hamlin knows the feeling well.

Myth: Cheating Is Rampant in the Sport

Busted! Some assume every team bends the rules to gain speed or performance advantages. NASCAR’s technical inspection processes are among the strictest in motorsports. While occasional infractions occur, rule-breaking now faces swift and severe penalties, including fines, crew suspensions, and points deductions. Today’s teams undergo pre- and post-race scanning and teardown inspections. The risk-to-reward ratio has made open “cheating” virtually nonexistent, with creativity limited to strategic gray areas rather than clear violations.
