While occasional infractions occur, rule-breaking now faces swift and severe penalties, including fines, crew suspensions, and points deductions. Today’s teams undergo pre- and post-race scanning and teardown inspections. The risk-to-reward ratio has made open “cheating” virtually nonexistent, with creativity limited to strategic gray areas rather than clear violations.
