Jimmie Johnson's final NASCAR Cup Series race is starting to come together. Thanks to Rick Hendrick and Hendrick Motorsports, he'll return to the iconic No. 48 for the 2027 Daytona 500. But while one important part of that farewell is now in place, another couldn't be brought back despite everyone's efforts. Johnson recently explained why one familiar part of his championship years won't be part of his final race.
