Time and again, NASCAR has argued that the Cup teams have been handed the best deal under the new charter agreement. On paper, it looks like both NASCAR and the teams agreed on mutual terms, but this is far from true. The RTA’s executive director testified in court and revealed how teams were forced to sign the deal. And also how the France family blatantly ignored their demands for true ownership of charters.
