Weather's Not Looking Good for Daytona 500

NASCAR’s woes with weather don’t seem to end. Only a week ago, the Clash at Bowman Gray was rescheduled due to a snowstorm, and fans online didn’t like how NASCAR seemed unprepared for the event. However, it seems like these run-ins with the weather gods aren’t coming to an end anytime soon as NASCAR prepares for another challenge.

NASCAR could be forced into making schedule changes if conditions don’t improve.

Richard Petty has seven Daytona 500 wins, but his sixth triumph in the Great American Race stands out as the most significant. King Petty’s sixth Daytona 500 victory in 1979 was a watershed moment for NASCAR as a sport. It marked the first flag-to-flag race broadcast on CBS. What truly capped it off was the infamous clash involving Cale Yarborough and the Allison brothers.
