👋 Dear Motorheads,
After 26 weeks of discussions, drama, and untamed emotions, we’re finally here! NASCAR is heading to the playoffs. After seven days of Harrison Burton’s win receiving constant criticism, another Ford driver locked his place into the Round of 16 with similar fortunes.
Breaking another one of those 90+ race winless streaks this season, Chase Briscoe has finally done it for Stewart-Haas Racing. Meaning, Tony Stewart’s NASCAR team has given fans one last reason to cheer for in 2024. And while back-to-back weeks of 'Cinderella stories' do not sound all that bad, for every winner, there must be a loser. So there were quite a few who left Darlington with heavy hearts this Sunday.
We’ll discuss them in a little more detail later. But the biggest loser? Unfortunately, that one’s gotta be Kyle Busch. Twice in two weeks, he knocked on the doors of the Round of 16. Both times, he turned up unbearably short. However, it is not him, but his team owner making waves elsewhere with his opinions on Austin Dillon’s upheld penalties. We have to say, it is a little strange to see a team of their caliber having to beat a dead horse for something the NASCAR world has moved on from.
